Attention Columbia Basin Coaches: Free in-person NCCP Teaching and Learning Course
This course teaches you how to implement an appropriately structured and organized practice. Make interventions that promote learning and development.
Training for the NCCP Teaching & Learning module takes approximately 4.75 hours and it covers these topics: foundations, form a plan to action, approaches, micro-teaching, and reflections.

Facilitator: Carolyn Gillespie
Carolyn brings extensive coaching and education experience to the PacificSport team. With a career spanning since 1993 in School District #23 (Central Okanagan), she has connected with coaches, athletes, and parents across various sports. Carolyn is a Master Learning Facilitator (LF) for Field Hockey Canada and an NCCP LF for FMS and Introduction to Competition courses. She holds a BPE in Athletic Training and Conditioning from the University of Alberta and completed her PDPP in Education at UVIC.
Carolyn’s passion lies in physical literacy and sport education. She spearheads coach education courses, sport discovery camps, and collaborates with educators and local sports organizations to promote the Canadian Sport for Life Model across all age levels. She looks forward to building connections with sports organizations and community groups in the Okanagan Valley
