David is a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician who has recently moved from the UK to Nelson, BC. He was previously working in professional/international rugby union for Cardiff Blues in the Pro 14 and Wales (WRU) U18 as lead doctor. David was a physiotherapist before returning to medical school in the UK and completing training his Dip SEM. He now lives in Nelson, BC with his young family spending his time in the mountains usually skiing (inbounds or touring) and is a keen football (soccer) player.
David works in a multidisciplinary clinic, Kootenay Health Services as a sports medicine physician and at White Water Ski Resort as the Medical Director, providing care to professional and recreational athletes with sports related injuries, including concussion. . He also provides point of care diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided corticosteroid, prolotherapy and PRP injections.
