PacificSport Columbia Basin is excited to welcome Nelson Sport Lab as a new PacificSport SportHealth and Gymworks Partner, enhancing our commitment to sports excellence and athlete development in the Columbia Basin region.
The Lab at Nelson Sport Lab is at the forefront of integrating sport science with strength and conditioning, focusing on enhancing speed, power, and strength across various sports. Operated by sports medicine professionals, it stands as a cutting-edge facility for sports training and rehabilitation.
Combining physical therapy, and strength and conditioning, The Lab is designed specifically to provide athletes everything they need to succeed on the ice, field, grass, pavement, water or road.
The Lab boasts a wide range of specialized equipment tailored for athletes, including K-Box eccentric trainers, Keiser functional trainers, the Vertimax V8, Rogue Bikes, Russian Boxes, Blood Flow Restriction Devices, and many others designed for modern athletic training needs. Exclusive to The Lab is its indoor 8’x65’ turf track with timing gates to keep speed during all seasons. With amenities like a full rehab gym, golf/sport simulator, and sports science lab footwork tools, it aims to cater to the evolving demands of athletes.
The Lab will work closely with targeted athletes registered with PacificSport Columbia Basin to provide physiotherapy services and receive expedited access to services depending on availability. Athletes will be able to utilize the gym space for free around other user groups and should phone ahead to determine availability.
*SportHealth Partner is a program that provides registered high-performance athletes and coaches with discounted treatment services at over 65 facilities across BC. The GYMWORKS program provides access to over 175 strength & conditioning facilities, training facilities and swimming pools across BC to help reduce daily training costs anywhere in the province.
