Build Inclusive Movement Programs in Your Community

Quality Leadership in Physical Literacy Workshop equips camp and program leaders with the skills, confidence, and tools to create physical activity experiences that are safe, inclusive, and genuinely meaningful for children and youth.

Every child deserves a leader who knows how to move them.

Why it matters:

Physical literacy isn’t just about sport. It’s about giving every child the movement skills, confidence, and love of activity they need to thrive, not just at camp, but for the rest of their lives.

Research consistently shows that early, positive physical experiences set the foundation for lifelong health and wellbeing.

The quality of that experience depends almost entirely on the leader in the room. This course exists to make sure that leader is you, at your best.

Three pillars:

Responsible People  Understand what it truly means to lead children with accountability, awareness, and a child-centred mindset.

Good Communication  Learn to explain games simply, speak inclusively, and connect with children, parents, and peers with real clarity.

Safe Environments  Create spaces where every child feels physically, emotionally, and culturally safe — every single session.

Not just theory, real skills for real moments:

Through hands-on activities, scenario-based learning, and reflective discussion, you’ll leave with practical tools you can use the very next day, including how to adapt any game for any age or ability, read a group in real time, communicate expectations clearly, and support children through difficult moments.

Who it’s for:

Camp counsellors · Coaches & instructors · Recreation leaders · School program staff · Youth sport volunteers · After-school facilitators · Community program leaders
