What is the FMS Course?
A workshop, developed by the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC), is hands on, interactive training to teach participants how to observe, analyze and improve basic movement patterns in children and youth. Focusing on fostering physical literacy to build confidence and competence, ensuring children enjoy a lifetime of active living.
Highlights & Objectives:
- Learn to teach, identify and correct core skills of Run, Jump, Wheel, Throw, Catch, Strike, Kick, Roll & Balance

- Become efficient in identifying, analyzing, generating, planning, implementing and assessing movement in participants.
- Learn to modify activities for a wide range of abilities.
- Recognize and learn the different skill levels of participants.
- Gain tools to make learning environments safe, fun & inclusive.
This course is interactive and delivers high-quality content that will boost confidence for leaders to teach skills properly

- Anyone working with kids and youth (ages 3-12)
FMS Course Details:
- Duration: 5 hours (in-person)
- Certification: Participants become NCCP Trained in Fundamental Movement Skills and receive 5 Professional Development credits
- Cost: varies depending on group size & location of delivery
- Location: Group size of 6 or more allows us to travel anywhere in the Columbia Basin
