Arthur Andrews
Certified Athletic Therapist. B.Kin, B.Aet. CSCS, CSCA, CSEP-HP, CAT-C, NCCP. Nelson-based. Arthur has been leading IGNITE Nelson for two years, and he is the coach parents in this community keep coming back to.
Arthur Andrews is a Certified Athletic Therapist and the owner of The Sport Lab Nelson, a facility he built specifically for athlete development in the Kootenays. He has been delivering the IGNITE program in Nelson for two seasons, and the results are showing up where it matters: on the ice, the slope, the court, and the field.
Arthur's approach in the gym is direct. Sprint, jump, throw, lift heavy, sweat, and rest. Then do it again, inside a space that stays genuinely fun to be in. His philosophy is just as clear: hard things are meant to be hard, and committing to athleticism is a lifelong journey. That combination of high standards and genuine enjoyment is what keeps athletes coming back season after season.
"The best thing about coaching IGNITE is seeing kids dominate their sport, and watching their coordination, strength, and speed improve in real time."Arthur Andrews, IGNITE Head Coach, Nelson

The physical foundation every sport is built on.
Nelson's competitive athletes are putting in the work every season. IGNITE gives them the physical platform to go further with it. Structured, twice-weekly sessions that build strength, speed, coordination, and movement quality across every sport, every season.
Built for Competitive Athletes
Designed for athletes already competing in hockey, skiing, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and more. IGNITE complements team practice rather than competing with it, and the physical gains carry across every sport on your athlete's schedule.
Coached the Right Way
Arthur Andrews delivers the Canadian Sport Institute Pacific curriculum at every session. Technique comes before load, quality before quantity. Athletes learn to move correctly first, which reduces injury risk and builds the kind of confidence that shows up in competition.
Local, Right Here in Nelson
Delivered at The Sport Lab Nelson and L V Rogers Secondary School, facilities built to support athlete development. Arthur knows this community, knows what local athletes are training toward, and has built a program that reflects it.
A Pathway, Not Just a Program
IGNITE is structured across progressive stages: Foundations, Aspire, and Perform. Athletes who start in Fall 2026 could follow the full pathway, with priority registration access at each stage along the way.
Built for athletes across every sport.
IGNITE is not designed for one sport. The physical foundations of strength, speed, coordination, and movement quality carry across every discipline your athlete competes in. Currently supporting athletes in 15 or more sports, including:
