Are you ready to build more inclusive, welcoming experiences for youth in your programs or organization?
PacificSport Columbia Basin is hosting All Youth Matter, a free, 3-hour, in-person inclusion workshop developed by viaSportBC, on Monday, March 30, 2026 (5:00–8:00 PM MT) at the College of the Rockies (2700 College Way PHAC, Cranbrook, BC).
This practical, interactive workshop supports leaders who work with youth to build more inclusive and welcoming environments, especially for youth who face barriers to participation. Participants will build a shared foundation of inclusion concepts, reflect on bias, and develop realistic strategies they can apply in their role and setting.
What you’ll learn
Participants will explore core concepts such as inclusion and marginalization, how unconscious bias can influence interactions, and ways to better connect with youth. The workshop also introduces a Framework for Youth Inclusion and supports participants to apply it to day-to-day practice.
Practical takeaways
You will leave with increased confidence to support inclusion, strategies you can apply immediately, a personal or team action plan, and access to a post-workshop toolkit of resources.
Who should attend?
All Youth Matter is for anyone involved in youth programs and sport; including leaders, administrators, board members, coaches, officials, parents/caregivers, program staff/instructors, and students. While originally developed for sport, recreation, and physical activity settings, it has also been delivered in education and other youth-serving sectors.
Evidence-informed impact
In a 2019 evaluation (845 learners across 54 workshops), over 96% reported feeling more confident about inclusion, over 99% anticipated using what they learned, and over 97% would recommend the training.
