Megan grew up in Rossland BC, ski racing for most of her youth. With both parents as physical educators, being physically active was important, and Megan was encouraged to become a “well-rounded athlete.”
Megan earned a Kinesiology degree with a focus on the physiological, psychological, and social implications of youth competitive sports. Following that, she became a Recreation Coordinator for the City of Trail, facilitating workshops on Healthy Communities and Healthy Workplaces through the BC Parks and Recreation Association. Meghan’s most recent position was at Teck’s Trail Operation where she coordinated strong community relationships, healthy workplace and healthy community events.
Megan believes that by collaborating with dedicated community partners, all British Columbians will have an opportunity to be active for life.
Pacific Sport Columbia Basin is a proud partner in the viaSport Regional Alliance: a collective of nine provincial multi-sport organizations committed to aligning their organizational and programming goals around a common set of provincial sport priorities.
Their collective strengths will enable them to share resources, set common targets for physical activity and sport participation, and continue the great work developed and delivered in their communities across a provincial sport landscape.
Together, the Regional Alliance will enrich lives and energize communities via sport.
